En los Cazadores de Mitos comprobaron algo parecido. El tema era si se podía hacer saltar una chispa con la antena del móvil de manera que se pudiera incendiar una manguera de gasolina. Concluyeron que no, pero en el tema de la chispa inducida por el cuerpo humano debido a la electricidad estática dijeron que era probable, que el entrar y salir del coche sin tocar la chapa (si la tocas, descargas la electricidad estática) hay una posibilidad de que se pudiera incendiar, y que nunca, bajo ningún concepto había que sacar la manguera del auto, había que esperar a que el operario cortara el flujo de gasolina y entonces sacarla.
Había videos de situaciones controladas realizados por bomberos y tal que lo demostraban
P.S.: Los que hemos trabajado arreglando ordenadores, alguna que otra vez nos hemos llevado alguna descargar (mínima) debido a la electricidad estática. Para evitar esto existen unas pulseritas que van de tu muñeca a la chapa del ordenador y lo que hace es desviar directamente la electricidad a la chapa para evitar la acumulación en el cuerpo y alguna posible descarga leve.
P.S.: Según tengo entendido, la acumulación de electricidad estática es la responsable de los tipicos calambre codo con codo que a todos nos habrá pasado alguna vez.
