¿Y tal vez un foro de CPIjuegos? Donde no sólo podrían desarrollarse torneos de ajedrez sino también de todo tipo de juegos de mesa. También serviría de lugar de reunión para organizar partidos sueltas entre CPIeros.

El problema es la diferencia de horarios que tenemos todos. Si lo haces interactivo por un programita en red ponerse de acuerdo para la hora iba a ser una gran odisea, dado que hay gente que estudia/trabaja por la mñn, tarde y/o noche, o que sólo tienen acceso al foro a unas determinadas horas del día.

Pienso que la idea del foro como el hilo "CPI Chess" es la mejor dada la situación en la que nos encontramos, puesto que te da tiempo a pensar la jugada a las horas en las que le puedes dedicar tiempo y no en unas fijas que lo mismo no puedes perder más que unos minutos y te precipitas a la hora de hacer un movimiento.

Creo que ninguno tenemos prisa en terminar el torneo. Tampoco vamos a estar eternamente esperando, obviamente. Para ello habrá algún tipo de reglamentación que regule el tiempo máximo de espera de un movimiento.

Por ejemplo, se pueden obligar a mover en un tiempo máximo de 48 horas, pero que sólo en 5 ocasiones por partida exceda de 24 horas.

Esto es, el tiempo máximo permitido entre el movimiento de un oponente y el otro sería de 24 horas, teniendo cada jugador 5 comodines de extra-time por partida cuyo uso permitiría un añadido de 24 horas más, lo que haría que pudiese postear su movimiento en como máximo 48 horas. Obviamente, los comodines sólo se pueden usar una vez por movimiento y, si queréis, se puede poner alguna otra restricción de que tampoco se puedan usar en movimientos consecutivos o una vez cada X movimientos, etc.

Vamos, que no se van a terminar partidas en 2 horas (quizás sí??) pero tampoco se pretende que se alarguen demasiado.
