Albert Abraham Michelson Miércoles 19 de diciembre 1852 Imagen de wikimedia Rama: Física Lugar de nacimiento: Strzelno que desde 1772 hasta 1919 era Prusia, posiblemente fuera de familia alemana (Precisado por Tristan) Contribuciones principales: Midió con gran precisión la velocidad de la Luz. Fue premio nobel de Física en 1907. Curiosidades: A los 17 años entró en la Academia Naval de los Estados Unidos en Annapolis, Maryland, en donde aprendió más de la ciencia que del arte marítimo. Obtuvo el grado de oficial en 1873 y prestó servicios como instructor científico en la Academia entre 1875 y 1879. Fue en esta época cuando se intereso por el calculo de la velocidad de la Luz.
